The Cardiac Rehabilitation team at Lismore Base Hospital provides support and education for people with cardiovascular disease in hospital, facilitates outpatient referral to phase 2 programs and co-ordinates a phase 2 program.
This service provides education and support for people who have cardiovascular disease. Including; a myocardial infarction (heart attack), angina, percutaneous coronary intervention, cardiac arrhythmias, valve problems, cardiac surgery, pacemakers, internal defibrillators and heart failure.
This is a multidisciplinary exercise and education program located at LBH, aiming to improve the health and quality of life for people living with CVD. Focusing on health education, self- management skills, physical exercise and risk factor modification.
